Sometimes the hardest step is simply reaching out.

If you're reading this, there's a good chance life feels heavier than you'd like it to.

Maybe you've been carrying things quietly for a long time.

Maybe you've reached a point where you're simply tired of trying to figure everything out on your own.

If that's where you are today...

I want you to know something.

You don't have to have everything worked out before asking for support.

My name is Juan.

I'm a counsellor, life coach, husband and father, but before any of those roles, I'm someone who believes that every person deserves to be heard with compassion, dignity and without judgement.

Over the years I've learned something incredibly important.

Most people aren't looking for someone to "fix" them.

They're looking for someone who will genuinely listen, help them make sense of what they're experiencing and walk alongside them as they discover a healthier way forward.

That's the kind of support I strive to offer every person who places their trust in Sentience.

My Approach

I don't believe counselling is about giving people all the answers.

I believe it's about creating the space where the right questions can be explored together.

Whether we're working through anxiety, relationship challenges, grief, trauma or personal growth, my goal is always the same:

To help you understand your story...

Strengthen what matters most...

Grow into the person you're capable of becoming...

And ultimately build a life where you can truly thrive.

My Promise to you

If we work together, I can't promise that life will suddenly become easy.

I can't promise there won't be difficult days.

What I can promise is this:

You will always be met with respect.

You will always be listened to without judgement.

You will always have a safe space to explore your thoughts and emotions.

And together, we'll work towards helping you build a healthier, stronger and more hopeful future.

Get to know me

I have a Diploma in Life Coaching through the Academy of Modern Applied Psychology

I was in corporate communication and management for almost 15 years with a degree in Media Studies.

I believe I am a good listener and am a natural empath, giving me the ability to really understand complex emotions in people I meet.

I have been through my own trauma and therapy in my past. I found it hard to connect with therapists and their clinical approach, so I wanted to help people in a way that not only feels comfortable and safe, but also with someone they see as a person that has also been through their own issues and can relate to them.
